He has been involved in the promotion of Bamboo for its social, ecological industrial, and economic benefits during his career and is an expert in the management of bamboo forests, raising bamboo plantations, bamboo Agro-Forestry, marketing, and utilization.

Parameswaran Krishna Iyer, Director Bamboopecker Lifestyle Crafts Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. His venture Bamboopecker® is a well-known brand in the furniture segment. Also, Bamboopecker ® is doing Bamboo based construction projects at the Pan India level.

Dr. D. A. VENKATESH IFS (Rtd) served as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Commissioner of Textiles, Govt. of Karnataka for 4 years. Drafted industrial policies for MSME and other sectors, and implemented skill development programs.

M.S. Wood Science & Technology Alumni of FRI, 1999 batch. Techno-commercial Professional with over 22 years of experience across National and International markets. Instrumental in energizing the Bamboo sector and industrializing Bamboo-Wood.


Ar. Udai Gadkari
A teacher-architect- Town Planner with about four decades of Teaching, Professional and Administrative Experience. Past President, Council of Architecture (2011-14), (A Statutory Body of Govt. of India, MHRD, New Delhi). An ardent Bamboo enthusiast contributing wholeheartedly in Bamboo Awareness and Promotion aspects through Pedagogy, online/offline Seminars, conferences, and hands-on workshops for all these years, introducing, especially students, to the Funtastic World of Bamboo.

Dr. K. N. Murthy IFS (Rtd), former PCCF from Karnataka. He holds a Ph.D. from IIM Bangalore in Public Policy. Currently reviving a dormant company founded by late N. S. Adukoli, founder of BSI last year, and turned it around into a profit-making company.

KP Murthy, with 44 years of experience in Senior positions at TATA Gp & Bosch, is a passionate bamboo activist. Mobilizing students to propagate bamboo, conducting projects, and setting up bamboo research centers in engineering colleges.

Dr. Jagadish Vengala
Dr. Jagadish Vengala is a Professor and former scientist with Research, Industry, and Teaching Experience. He is contributing to the Research, Dissemination, and adoption of Bamboo and Earthquake Resistant housing in India for the last 16 years.

Dr. Sruthi Subbanna
Sruthi Subbanna holds a Ph.D. in socio-economic-ecological feasibility in Forestry from FRI University, Dehradun. She has published papers on bamboo utilization and silviculture and is well versed with the best cultivation methods across India.
